Whitefield & Prestwich Spiritualist Church

Our approach is to provide an informal, friendly atmosphere to all that attend the meetings where demonstrations of mediumship take place. We hope all that attend will find Spirit Communication to be uplifting as well as perfectly natural. Spiritualism is the practice of communicating with discarnate beings who once lived an earthly life.

Spiritualists believe in ‘life after death’, that communication from spirit beings can be gathered and passed on by mediumistic people and that healing energy is channelled from the Divine spirit, through a healing medium into a patient.

We believe that spirit communication is completely natural and has been in existence since Man first walked on the earth. We know that animals communicate to each other with telepathy and it seems logical that before Man had the power of speech, he did the same.

Spiritualism is an ongoing experiment to prove survival after death of the material body. We believe that the spirit takes on a material life in order to learn through many experiences. We often find that we make the same mistake many times before we finally get it right.
